So far in my writing career I've written four other books.  One about myself, one about hard to handle boys and people on drugs, and two about the spirit world.  All four are pretty serious books, but this one, Shagus & The Injustice League, is the most serious of all.  I hope you take it that way because it took me years of research and many sleepless nights to complete.  I'll tell you what it's about...

About 500 years ago, back in the times of Feudal Japan, lived these 5 no-hoping Ninja.  They were so hopeless that the Clans they belonged to cast them out.  Here we had 5 Scum-bag Dropout Ninja roaming Japan and nowhere to go.

Of course as time goes on the 5 Scum-bags meet up and form a pretty ordinary Vigilante group.  Once together they raped, pillaged, stole, robbed, and made babies cry.  As time went on they stuffed up heaps and were eventually arrested.

The 5 Scum-bags knew what their destinies held for them; of course it was Death.  So, knowing that, they made a pact.  The pact was that they would all return to earth one day to take revenge on their Clans that cast them out.  The way they would do this was going to be in the form of Reincarnation; they would all be reborn in the year 2004 in a place called Melbourne, in Australia.

They throught all night about what form to be reborn in.  They thought about Ninja Turtles, but then decided that they didn't want to walk around looking like some sort of New Age Greenie Poofter Group, so they knocked that idea on the head.  They thought about the form of Super Heroes but then batman & Robin crossed their minds and they forgot about that straight away.  Finally they came to a decision, they would come back as, Five Mutated Scum-bag Martial Artists.  So, the time was set, the place was set, and their identity was set, all they had to wait for now was Death, and they were wishing it would hurry up.
